Description

9 Market Place is an early 18th-century building with a colour-washed brick facade. It features a hipped bellcast roof covered with old tiles and has one gabled dormer. The building stands three storeys high and has three sash windows with cambered heads, including a central blank space on the second floor. The shop front is modern, while the interior is reported to have panelling. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 5 to 31 (odd) and the Town Hall, as well as No 10 and Nos 20 to 36 (even), which includes a barn at the rear of Nos 32 to 34 (even) on the opposite side of the Market Place.
