Description
Bridgewater House is a former rectory, now a house, dated 1822. It is constructed of Ancaster stone ashlar and brick, topped with a hipped slate roof. The building features four square coped ashlar stacks, a plinth, and a first-floor band, along with deep wooden eaves. It has two storeys and a total of twelve windows arranged in a 5 x 7 pattern. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with nine panes on the first floor and twelve panes below. The main south front has a slightly projecting three-bay center beneath a pediment. The entrance front, located on the east side, has three windows and includes a central square porch with a solid balustrade and a half-glazed door featuring cruciform glazing bars. To the right of the porch is a small additional window. The plain west front has seven windows on each floor.
