Description
The gates and flanking walls at Caythorpe Court were built around 1900 by Sir R Blomfield. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, ashlar, and wrought iron. The gateway features two partially rusticated square piers topped with moulded cornices and large stone balls. The gates consist of two leaves adorned with decorative flourishes in a late 17th century style. On either side of the entrance, there are high stone walls with plain copings that end at rusticated pillars. This structure serves as the principal entrance to Caythorpe Court.
