Description

Two cottages, built in 1854 and altered in the 20th century. They are constructed of red brick, with a hipped concrete tiled roof and two lateral stacks. The two-storey, four-bay front has corner pilaster strips. The central two bays project slightly and are topped with a pediment containing a moulded oval plaque inscribed “JST 1854.” The central doorways are semi-circular, with moulded imposts and keystones. Number 1 on the left has a 20th-century glazed door, while number 3 on the right has a recessed-panel door; both feature fanlights with radiating spokes. To the left of the doorways is a plain sash window, and to the right a glazing bar sash window. Above, the left side has two plain sashes, and the right side has two glazing bar sashes.
