Description
The Baptist Chapel, built in 1845, is a single-storey structure located on Albert Street in Holbeach. It is constructed of red brick with a colourwashed render and features a concrete tiled roof with overhanging eaves. The north front has three bays and a central doorway that is accessed by two steps leading up to double doors with recessed panels and a fanlight adorned with radiating spokes. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows with semi-circular heads, also featuring radiating spokes. Above the doorway, raised bands create a pediment that contains a small shuttered opening. To the left, there is a small semi-circular headed window with fixed glazing bars. The west side of the chapel has three semi-circular headed glazing bar casements, each with radiating spokes in their heads. Inside, there is a curved west gallery with fielded panels, supported by slender columns.
