Description

Roman Grange is a house built in 1812. It is constructed of red brick and stucco, with a hipped slate roof. The house has two lateral stacks, a wooden eaves band with paired brackets, rusticated stucco quoins, and a painted band extending around the base. It is two storeys high and three bays wide. The central doorway is semi-circular arched, with a decorative panelled door and traceried fanlight, set beneath a semi-circular arched hood with a key block and curved brackets. To either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes with margin lights, and three similar sashes are positioned above. All sashes have flush wedge lintels. A painted plaque dated 1812 is visible on the right return wall.
