Description
The Farmhouse, located at R.H. Scrimshaw and Sons, is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, with late 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, with some areas covered in painted stucco. The late 19th-century slate roof features red ridge tiles and gable stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-bay front. The central doorway has a plain doorcase and a partially glazed door, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. Above, there are three glazing bar sashes, all of which are topped with painted stucco wedge lintels and raised keystones. The facade also includes two late 19th-century gabled dormers that have bargeboards and casements.
