Description

Leaden Hall is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The house is constructed of red brick, with some render and painted ashlar dressings. It has a slate roof with brick coped gables, moulded eaves, and a parapet featuring a dentillated band. There are two 19th-century brick chimney stacks. The house is two stories high, with a basement and an attic.

The front of the house has three bays, with the central bay projecting slightly and topped by a pediment. The basement is rendered. A set of four steps leads to a central doorway with a pilastered doorcase, featuring dosserets supporting an open modillioned pediment. The doorway has a reveal, a traceried fanlight, and a panelled door. The doorway is flanked by single, canted, two-story bays. The basement of these bays contains single two-light casements with segmental heads. Above the basement are single tripartite glazing bar sashes on each floor, with painted stucco wedge lintels. A semi-circular headed window above the doorway contains a glazing bar sash with an intersecting traceried head. A circular window is located in the pediment, featuring a moulded architrave and radiating spokes. The attic has two dormers with segmental heads and two-light casements.
