Description
Christie Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, featuring some painted ashlar dressings. The roof is slate, with stone coped gables that have kneelers, and dentillated eaves on all but the central bay, which also has two gable stacks. The building is two and a half storeys high and has a five-bay front, with the central bay projecting slightly.
A 20th-century brick porch, which has glazed elements, is defined by pilasters and an entablature. This porch is flanked by two large 20th-century bays, each containing a long plain sash window alongside smaller plain sashes, all featuring painted ashlar keystones. Above, there are five three-light plain sash windows, with five smaller similar windows above them, all having segmental heads and painted, raised ashlar keystones.
