Description

This is a mid-18th century house that was later remodelled in the early 19th century. It was originally a pair of cottages. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a hipped pantile roof, featuring two brick ridge stacks. The two-storey street elevation has an off-centre doorway with a half-glazed door. To the right of the doorway is a small fixed window and two sash windows with segmental brick heads. To the left of the doorway is a short sash window, followed by a tall sash window, and then a wide sash window set under a large wooden lintel. The upper floor contains three irregular sash windows and a small casement window with a wooden lintel. All the sash windows have glazing bars.
