Description
Albert House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof. The roof has two red brick gable stacks, which are topped with ashlar coped gables and kneelers that have ball finials. The building has flush ashlar quoins and a chamfered plinth.
The east front of the house has three bays, although it was originally five bays. It features a central doorway with a 20th-century door and overlight, topped with a small bracketed hood. Above this is a central upper plain sash window. On either side of the doorway are wooden two-storey canted bay windows, each with plain sashes. Above these bays, there are two small gabled dormers, also with plain sashes.
The garden front is two storeys high and has an off-centre doorway with a 20th-century door, flanked by two glazing bar sash windows. All of these openings are topped with brick lintels. Above this level, there are four additional glazing bar sashes.
