Description

Ashfield House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the south side of Lincoln Road in Branston and Mere. The building is constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a slate hipped roof with two white brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has a central doorway that is framed by an ashlar porch, which has a semi-circular opening and a moulded impost band topped with a cornice. The door itself is a six fielded panel design with a semi-circular fanlight above. On either side of the doorway, there are single wooden splayed bay windows that contain glazing bar sashes. The upper floor features four additional glazing bar sashes.
