Description
Thompson's Bottom Farmhouse is a farmhouse located in Temple Bruer, dating from the late 18th century with mid-19th century additions. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar and brick dressings. The roof is made of pantiles and has two brick gable stacks, along with a wooden modillion cornice. The building is two stories high and has five bays. The central doorway includes a six-panel door with a segment-headed overlight that has traceried glazing bars, and it is flanked by a projecting porch supported by ashlar Roman Doric columns and an entablature. On either side of the doorway, there are single mid-19th century canted bay windows with glazing bar sashes. Above the doorway, there are five glazing bar sashes set under segment brick heads.
