Description
Northgate House is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of Northgate. It is two storeys tall and constructed of gault brick, topped with a shallow hipped Welsh slate roof that features two stacks at either end and wide eaves. The façade has three widely spaced windows, each with period window boxes, painted brick voussoirs, and hung sashes with glazing bars. The building is adorned with central and end pilasters, and the central stone doorcase is plain, featuring a hood supported by brackets and a rectangular fanlight above. A stone plinth completes the structure.
