Description
Austhorpe Farm is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble and features a pantiled roof with raised stone coped gables and two red brick gable stacks. It has an L-plan layout and is two storeys high with a three-bay front that includes a plinth and a chamfered eaves course. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century half-glazed door set within a contemporary fluted wooden surround, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there are three similar windows. Inside, the farmhouse retains an early 18th-century turned baluster dog leg stair and some raised and fielded double panelled doors.
