Description

No 54 Westgate is a former playhouse dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed stone and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. It has a wood eaves cornice and a small round window in the gable. On the first floor, there are two windows with segmental arches, hung sashes, and glazing bars. The ground floor contains one window and a doorway with a flat lintel and keystone, which has double doors and a foot scraper. The side elevation has four windows, although some of the glazing bars have been replaced. The building also has brick stacks. Nos 54 and 58 to 72 form a group.
