Description

The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage, now a house, built in 1822 by the builder William Barnett. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a hipped slate roof with lead dressings. The building has a cast iron lion mask gutter and two valley stacks. It is two storeys high with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of double half-glazed doors, which are sheltered by a 19th-century glazed porch that has a flat lead roof and timber arches with cusped and openwork designs. On either side of the entrance are single glazing bar sash windows. The first floor also has three similar windows, and all window openings have splayed rubbed brick arches.
