Description

The White Horse Inn is an inn dating back to 1813, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of colourwashed red brick with a pantiled roof, raised brick coped gables, and two gable stacks. The building follows an L-shaped plan. The front of two storeys and three bays features a dentillated eaves course. A central 20th-century glazed door is flanked by single three-light sliding sash windows with segmental brick heads. Above, on the first floor, are two two-light sliding sash windows set under the eaves. An off-centre ashlar tablet commemorates the rebuilding of the inn following a fire in 1813.
