Description

Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1603, with early 19th-century extensions. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar and white brick dressings, and has a slate roof. The building has two gable stacks, one rendered, as well as a single ridge and a single lateral white brick stack. The two ashlar coped gables are part of a lobby entrance plan, which was extended to an L-plan in the early 19th century.

The farmhouse is two storeys high. The street-facing, single bay gable front has a single three-light chamfered mullion window with a hood on each floor, and above it is a flush ashlar plaque inscribed 'T. K. 1603'. To the left, there is a single-storey 19th-century lean-to made of coursed rubble with white brick quoins and plinth, which includes a single light chamfered window that is now blocked.

The main south front consists of four bays. There is an off-centre blocked doorway, with a large two-light glazing bar casement to the right and a pair of glazing bar French windows to the left, both surrounded by a 20th-century glazed lean-to. Additionally, there is a two-light glazing bar casement to the left of the French windows. On the upper floor, to the right, there are two three-light sliding sashes, and to the left, there are two two-light sliding sashes. All of these openings feature wooden lintels. Inside, the farmhouse has various chamfered beams.
