Description
Maltkiln House is an 18th-century building with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped by a pantile ridge roof. The house has three bays and is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there is a door to the north made of four fielded panels, featuring an ashlar lintel and keystone. To the north again, there is a small sliding casement window with a wooden lintel. To the south, there are two 19th-century wooden splayed bay windows, complete with pilasters and an entablature. On the upper floor, there are three sash windows, each with ashlar lintels and keystones. At the rear, there is a single-storey extension to the north, which has a gable end with moulded coping and kneelers, and a fine sash window with a moulded surround topped by an entablature. The property is also accompanied by 19th-century railings.
