Description
Milton House Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with flush ashlar quoins, topped by a pantile ridge roof and stone coped gables, featuring a single twinned 18th-century stack. The building is two stories high with an attic, set on a stone plinth.
The west front is irregular, with the ground floor containing a blocked doorway, three single light casements with moulded hoods, and an 18th-century flush sash window with glazing bars. Above, there is a similar sash window, a small blocked 17th-century window, and two mullioned windows with moulded hoods. The gabled, single bay north front features two sashes with glazing bars and a mullioned attic window above, also with a moulded hood. The east front has five sash windows with glazing bars and a doorway, all with wooden lintels, including a 20th-century panelled, glazed door. Inside, there is some original oak panelling.
