Description
This is a dovecote located 15 metres north-west of Roxholm Hall, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and features a slate roof. The dovecote has a circular plan and includes a single doorway with a plank door. Above the door, to the left, is a 2-light casement window, both of which have segment brick heads. Atop the roof is a square wooden lantern that contains pigeon holes and flight perches, topped with a tall hipped roof and an iron weather vane. The interior is lined with brick and contains over 400 nesting boxes built into the walls. Roxholm Hall itself is not included in this listing.
