Description

The Wayside cross base, dating from the 14th century, is constructed of ashlar stone. It features the base only of a tapering rectangular cross shaft, which has prominent roll moulded angles. This is set upon a square stepped base block. The rear side of the cross base is adorned with a roll moulding that is positioned between two quirks.
