Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory, now a house, dating to the late 17th century. It was re-fronted in the late 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The front of the building is constructed of coursed limestone ashlar, while the rear features yellow brick and coursed limestone rubble. The roof is pantiled with raised stone copings to the gables, and there are two yellow brick gable stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape.
The front facade is two storeys high and three bays wide, with a chamfered plinth and a first-floor cill band. The central bay features a 20th-century glazed door with a plain overlight, flanked by single double French doors, all sheltered by a 20th-century wooden verandah with latticed supports. Above are three plain sash windows with 20th-century louvres. All window and door openings have splayed ashlar lintels with fluted keyblocks. The rear wing to the right has three glazing bar sashes to each floor, also with splayed ashlar lintels and plain keyblocks.
