Description
The Old Post Office is a house built in the early 19th century. It features coursed rubble construction with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of concrete tiles, with stone-coped gables that have kneelers and are topped with ball finials. There are pairs of diagonal stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with a projecting central bay that includes double plank doors set beneath a four-centred arch. On either side of this entrance are single three-light chamfered mullioned windows with ashlar dripmoulds. Above the entrance is a plaque inscribed '1833', along with a small single light pointed casement window with a square head and dripmould. Flanking this are more single three-light chamfered mullioned windows with ashlar dripmoulds.
