Description
The lodge in the grounds of Nocton Hall is a mid-19th century building constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. It features a stone plinth and a plain tiled ridge roof, which has an ashlar coped gable adorned with moulded kneelers and finials. The structure includes gable and wall stacks and is two storeys high, with a single storey lean-to porch and a two storey octagonal stair turret.
The gable end showcases a pointed doorway with a moulded arch and block corbels, along with a two-light window that has moulded arches and dripmoulds. Above this is another two-light window with a central shaft and pointed dripmould, also supported by block corbels. On the side elevation, there is a single similar two-light window beneath a relieving arch, and another similar window projects into a coped moulded dormer gable featuring kneelers.
