Description
Number 3 and the adjoining north garden wall is a house and garden wall located in Greestone Place, Lincoln. The building dates from the early 17th century and may include remnants from the medieval period. It was refronted around 1787 for John Bromhead. The structure is made of coursed squared rubble and brick, featuring stone dressings and a plain tile roof, with three gable stacks and one side wall stack.
The house has two storeys plus attics and consists of five bays. It has a double range plan and a central wooden doorcase designed as a Venetian window from the mid-19th century, complete with projecting wooden cheeks. On either side of the door, there are two glazing bar sash windows. Above the door, there are five similar sash windows, with the first from the left enclosed in a glazed box. Above these, there are three segment-headed dormers.
The adjoining north garden wall features a reset 15th-century three-light pointed arched window with panel tracery. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
