Description
Grafton House is a mid-19th century building that now serves as a Labour Party Club. It is constructed of stucco and features a hipped slate roof with two side wall stacks and a single rear wall stack. The building has a plinth, chamfered quoins, a moulded first floor band, and a modillion eaves cornice. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays.
The east front is highlighted by a central square porch that includes pilasters, a cornice, and round-headed openings with keystones. The porch is fitted with 20th-century glazed doors and a fanlight. On either side of the porch, there are canted bay windows with plain sashes and elaborate cast-iron balcony railings. Above these, there are three plain sashes with projecting surrounds and bracketed cornices, with the central sash being slightly smaller. At the top, there are three smaller sashes, with the central one featuring glazing bars, all adorned with eared and shouldered architraves. The interior has not been inspected.
