Description
Numbers 2 to 5 Cornhill are four houses that have been converted into two shops with offices above. They were built around 1840 and are constructed of brick with stucco dressings. The roofs are hipped and covered with slate, featuring a single gable and ridge stacks. The buildings have a first-floor band and modillion eaves, and they rise to three storeys with five bays. There are two late 20th-century shopfronts. To the right of the shopfronts, there is a round-headed doorway with a keystone. Above this doorway is a central glazing bar sash window with a pediment, flanked on the right by two similar windows that have cornices. On the left side, there are two 20th-century windows with the cornices removed. Above these, there are five smaller windows, with the three on the right being glazing bar sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
