Description
No. 310 High Street is a former public house, known as the Roebuck Inn, that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and was refronted in the mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The building features a painted stucco front and a slate roof, along with a side wall stack. It is three storeys tall, plus attics, and has two bays.
The late 19th-century wooden shopfront includes pilasters and a dentilled cornice supported by brackets. The central shop window is flanked by single doorways that have segmental heads and keystones. On the first and second floors, there are two plain sash windows with moulded architraves and cornices on consoles. Above these, there are two similar sash windows with segmental pediments on consoles. The attics are equipped with two segment-headed dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
