Description
320 High Street is a small commercial building believed to date from the late 18th century. The main western front is rendered on the first floor and covered by a slate roof, while the ground floor features a timber shopfront with a lead roof. The rear section is constructed of red brick and has a plain tiled roof.
The building is situated on the east side of High Street, facing west. It has two storeys and is divided into two bays, with the southern bay wider than the northern. The northern bay on the ground floor includes a passage that provides access to the rear sections of the building and the neighboring property at 319 High Street.
On the first floor, the southern bay has a tripartite sash window, and the northern bay has a two-pane sash window. A wide plat band runs across the front, aligning with the tops of the windows, and above it is a rendered parapet with lead coping. This parapet hides the lower part of the pitched roof, which slopes towards the street and features two dormers, each fitted with metal grilles.
Extending eastward from the main building is a long rear range, which is also two storeys tall and made of red brick with a pitched, plain-tiled roof.
