Description
Low Farm Cottage is a cottage and shed built in the early 19th century, with an extension added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features a pantile pyramidal roof with a diamond set ridge stack. The cottage has an octagonal plan with a pent roofed wing on the right and a later 19th-century addition on the left. It is a single storey plus attics and has a four-bay front. The left three bays are canted, featuring an off-centre planked and muntin door. To the left of the door is a single light window, and to the right are two light fixed glazing bar and leaded windows. All openings have sharply pointed ogee heads made of brick and plain hoods. In the roof, there is a single gabled two light dormer with a leaded and traceried head and leaded cheeks.
