Description

This gravestone, made of ashlar, is located 7 yards south of the Church of St. Mary in Kirkby on Bain. It dates back to 1724 and commemorates Christopher Bray, who was 10 years, 5 months, and 2 days old at the time of his death. The gravestone features a scrolled oval cartouche adorned with a cherub and palm motifs. It is inscribed with the words "A Blossom lies here Cropped by Death."
