Description

West Street House is a late 18th-century house with alterations from the late 19th century. It incorporates two shops. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick with stucco quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof. It is three storeys high and has a four-bay front. A flush panelled door with a traceried overlight is located in the centre, flanked by single 19th-century shop fronts. To the left is a recessed half-glazed door flanked by plate glass windows, and to the right, a recessed glazed door with a plate glass window to the left. The shop fronts have pilastered surrounds with plain fascias, moulded pedimented brackets, and cornices. The first and second floors feature four glazing bar sashes with segmental heads and stucco key blocks. The interior retains a contemporary staircase with plain, slender balusters and newels.
