Description

This is an early 19th-century brick house on Bridge Street. It is three storeys high with a shallow-pitched roof covered in Welsh slate. A deep wooden eaves cornice with paired brackets runs around the building. There are five windows arranged 2:1:2, with sash windows featuring glazing bars in wide wooden frames with shallow reveals and flat-arched carved stucco surrounds. Shallow central and end pilasters feature in the design. A semi-circular recess in the centre of the front contains the entrance and the central window of the first floor. The doorway has a wooden surround with two reeded columns supporting a simple entablature, panelled reveals, and a soffit. The door itself is made up of six panels. A brick garden wall stands to the right. Numbers 11 to 17 (the odd numbers) and The Bridge form a visually cohesive group.
