Description

Northlands Bridge is a road bridge built around 1812 under the direction of John Rennie. It features red brick with ashlar dressings and has a basket arch with a red brick band above. The bridge has bowed swept walls that end in single square piers and an ashlar coped parapet. There is some 20th-century brick patching on the north side. The area was drained and enclosed by the engineer John Rennie between 1802 and 1812.
