Description

The stable block and pigeoncote at Ranby Hall, built around 1868, is constructed of stock brick and features slate and concrete tile roofs. The pigeoncote has a tall wooden gabled turret with two tiers of entrances and a large weather vane. The south side is a single storey with seven bays, including a two-storey bay on the right. It has a doorway with a segmental head, overlight, and double stable doors. To the left, there is another doorway with a segmental head, overlight, and double stable doors, flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. There is a third doorway beyond, also with a segmental head, overlight, and double stable doors.

The west front features a two-storey, four-bay central section with single-storey bays on either side. There are two doorways; the one on the left has a segmental head and double stable doors, while the one on the right has a segmental head, overlight, and a plank door. Large carriage doorways are located to the left and right, both with wooden lintels and double plank doors. Additional single doorways are found beyond, to the left and right, with segmental heads and plank doors. Above, there are two three-light 20th-century casements.
