Description

RANBY HIGH STREET TF 27 NW (east side) 6/37 Stable block and pigeoncote at G.V. Ranby Hall II Stable block with pigeoncote. c.1868. Stock brick. Slate and concrete tile roofs with tall wooden gabled turret to pigeoncote with 2 tiers of entrances and large weather vane. Single storey south side of 7 bays inclding 2 storey bay to right, with doorway with segmental head, overlight and double stable doors. Doorway to left with segmental head, overlight and double stable doors, flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. Doorway to left with segmental head, overlight and double stable doors, flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. Doorway beyond with segmental head, overlight and double stable doors. West front with 2 storey, 4 bay central section with single storey bays to left and right. 2 doorways, that to left with segmental head and double stable doors. That to right with segmental head, overlight and plank door. Single large carriage doorways to left and right, both with wooden lintels and double plank doors. Single doorways beyond, to left and right, with segmental heads and plank doors. 2 three light C20 casements above.
