Description
Coastguard Cottages is a row of three cottages built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a hipped slate roof, along with two ridge stacks and two wall stacks. The cottages are single storey and have an eight-bay front. This includes two advanced gabled porches, each with a side door and a small front window, flanked by single sliding glazing bar sash windows. The center cottage has had its original windows replaced with plain casements, while to the left, there are two additional sliding sash windows. All openings are topped with flat brick arches. Since their construction, the coastline has moved out by an additional half mile.
