Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700, with a 19th-century addition. It is constructed of mud and stud, with plastered and painted surfaces, and has a painted brick extension on the left side. The roof is covered with pantiles and features a single axial stack. Originally designed as a two-unit plan, it has been extended to three units. The building is single storey with a garret and has a four-bay front. The entrance is off-center with a planked door, a small sliding sash window to the left, and two margin light sash windows to the right, all located at the eaves. Inside, the cottage retains bay posts, some braces, simple rounded beams, and ladder access to the garret.
