Description
Nos. 7 and 9 Station Road are two semi-detached cottages built around 1830, with some 20th-century alterations. They are constructed of colourwashed brick, with areas of colourwashed render and stucco dressings. The cottages feature a hipped concrete tiled roof with moulded eaves and both ridge and lateral stacks.
The buildings are two storeys high and have a six-bay front. The doorway is located to the right and includes an overlight and a panelled door, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. To the left, there is another glazing bar sash window, followed by a doorway with an overlight and a panelled door. Beyond this, there are two narrower glazing bar sash windows. On the upper floor, there are five small glazing bar sash windows. All openings are topped with stucco wedge lintels. These cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
