Description

Pinfold is a former pinfold dating from around 1800. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof, a wrought iron finial, and wooden eaves. The floor is made of concrete. This octagonal structure measures 8 meters in width and stands approximately 2.5 meters tall. The roof appears to be a more recent addition, although the central post that rises to the apex of the roof seems to be older. The rounded finish on the top of the walls suggests that the pinfold was not originally roofed. There are two small windows located at the top of the walls on the northern and eastern sides, and a wide entrance on the northwestern side, which is served by a wooden door.
