Description
This early 19th-century building comprises numbers 2 and 4 Nichol Hill and forms a group with the Louth Centenary Methodist Church on Eastgate. The structure is three storeys high and built of red brick with hung sash windows. The front elevation features three windows, some with glazing bars, the outer ones being three-light units beneath entablatures. The central window on the first floor has a pediment supported by consoles. A door is recessed within a plain stucco surround with a round-headed opening and a horizontal cornice. The door itself is constructed with six panels. The eaves are moulded and bracketed, topped by a tile roof. A rendered plinth is present at the base.
On the Eastgate elevation, there are four windows, two of which are blocked, and the remaining two are hung sashes with glazing bars in moulded surrounds, extending over two storeys. The ground floor originally accommodated two windows and two doors, with one of each now blocked. One door, featuring six panels, is set within a round-arched opening and has an ornamental fanlight above.
