Description

A terrace of four houses located on Spilsby Road, Boston, built in the late 1830s. The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick with painted ashlar dressings, and have a hipped slate roof punctuated by three ridge stacks. The two-storey elevation, which includes a basement level, is arranged with eight bays, presented as two pairs of properties. Each house has a two-panel door leading to a flight of stone steps, accompanied by a plain overlight within a pilastered surround, topped with a cornice and a lead hood. Basement windows are glazing bar sashes; ground floor windows are wider and larger sashes; and first floor windows consist of two narrower sashes. All window and door openings are topped with cambered, splayed, rusticated, and painted stone lintels. The interior remains uninspected.
