Description
No. 35 Market Place is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of rendered brick and features a slate roof with gable stacks made of Gault brick.
The exterior consists of three storeys and a four-bay front with a moulded eaves cornice. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front and a plain planked doorway that leads to ferrybridge steps. On the first floor, there are four glazing bar sash windows, while the second floor has four similar but slightly smaller windows. The left-hand bay serves as a narrow link over a passageway and is not covered by the main roof.
The building forms a group with No. 34 and Nos. 36-39 Market Place. The interior has not been inspected.
