Description

No. 3 Church Close is a house that has been converted into a surgery, built around 1840. It is constructed of Gault brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with two wall stacks.

The exterior has three storeys and a three-bay front, with the left-hand entrance bay slightly projecting. There is a brick plinth and a deep stucco eaves cornice. The entrance consists of a pair of four-panelled doors with a plain overlight, set within a plain white marble pilastered surround. This surround is supported by heavy console brackets and has scrolled plinth blocks. To the right of the entrance are two plain sash windows with splayed ashlar lintels that include keystones. On the first floor, there are three similar windows, and on the second floor, there are three smaller sash windows located near the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
