Description
Elms Farmhouse is a farmhouse consisting of two parts. The southern part features rendered brickwork and dates from the 19th century or earlier. It is one storey high, with a large gabled dormer that creates an upper storey appearance. The main facade has two gables with a central doorway positioned between them. Both the doorway and the casement windows have thin ornamental hood moulds above them.
To the north, there is a long timber-framed range that is 1½ storeys high and dates from the 17th century. This section is roughcast, with timber panelling visible in the gable wall and brick infill. The road-facing side has a doorway with a 19th-century hood mould cut through it, along with a former casement window above. The rear of the building features various casement windows. There are gable stacks, including one to the south of the doorway, which suggests that the original layout included a through passage behind the stack, connecting two main units.
