Description
Canterbury Lodge is a picturesque lodge house built around 1849. It is constructed of rusticated coursed squared rubble and features a fishscale slate roof. The building has three gabled bays, with the northeast gable being lower than the others, which both have attic windows with two-light casements. The ground floor windows are three-light casements adorned with ornate latticed glazing bars, and all windows have stone surrounds and hoodmoulds. The porch, which is detached and embattled, has a four-centred arched entrance and is decorated with wrought wood barge boards and ornate finials.
