Description
Rock Farmhouse is an 18th-century house constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. It features two storeys and a T-shaped plan, with a rear range that runs parallel to the road and a front range that projects and has a gable end. There are stacks at the end wall of the front range and the right end wall of the rear range, as well as a ridge stack at the junction of the two ranges. The eaves have brick dentils, and there are brick floor bands. The windows generally have cambered heads, with the front gable end displaying 2-light casements. The right side includes a 3-light casement and a hipped half-dormer, while an early 19th-century door with an overlight is located at the angle. The left side has been extended with a late 18th-century or early 19th-century square two-storey extension. The rear range features a stone plinth in part, a 3-light casement below, and a 2-light casement with top lights in the right end gable. There is a low wide door at the rear with casements to the right and two hipped half-dormers. Additionally, a 19th-century two-storey farm building adjoins the rear to the right. Inside, there are beams and an inglenook fireplace.
