Description

The property comprises a farmhouse and lodge, dating to circa 1835. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof, featuring red brick end stacks to the right, a ridge stack in the centre left, and an end stack on a two-storey wing to the left. The main house has three storeys and three windows, with three-light casement windows to the left and right, and two-light casements over the front porch. All windows have brick hood-moulds in a Tudor style. The rectangular porch has a matching hood-mould over the archway and blank lights in the side walls, surmounted by a flat roof with a parapet. A wing to the left also features similar three-light casement windows. To the right end, facing the road, are blank window niches on each storey, all topped with identical hood-moulds and forming part of the original design. The rear elevation presents a similar arrangement of casements. The property is considered the finest of several buildings in a similar style within the village.
