Description
No. 18 on Babelake Street is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century. It features a mix of red brick, timber framing, and rendered surfaces, topped with a thatched roof that includes one ridge and two end stacks made of rendered material. The timber frame is visible in parts of both the front and rear, with brick nogging present as well. The right end has a cruck gable with rendered nogging. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and has two eyebrow dormers with three lights each. To the left of the door, which is accompanied by a two-light casement window, there are four and two three-light windows to the right. The left end has one and two-light casement windows. At the rear, there is an outshut with a thatched catslide roof and another section with a slate roof.
